I have good news! The MetroLyrics Blog has moved to a fancy new home.

This is a good thing for a number of reasons. First off, our new home just looks better. In fact, all of MetroLyrics has gone through a massive redesign, not just our blog, so you’ll defs be missing out if you don’t check it out. Second, we’re now putting a lot more effort into our blog, giving you guys more original content on music and lyrics on a daily basis. We’ll also be running cool contests where we give away free stuff, and nobody dislikes free stuff. Nobody.

So with all that in mind, come on over and see what’s going down at the new MetroLyrics Blog. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

You’ve been hearing a lot about Britney’s new album lately, but what about the other famous B? The video for Beyonce’s new single “Girl” (which has nothing to do with the Destiny’s Child track, btw) is scheduled to begin shooting on the April 13th, and we’re excited over these tidbits of news:

- The clip is directed by Francis Lawrence (Responsible for Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and BritBrit’s “Circus”)

- The song’s apparently all about female empowerment – Lady B will be surrounded by an army of ladies, all chanting “Girl, girl, girl”…

- It’s an instant “club banger” – get ready for it to shoot to the top of the MetroLyrics Top 10!

Could the rumoured insane choreography replace Beyonce’s classic “Single Ladies” dance? Stay tuned for the release – which could be as early as May, since her album’s due out in June of this year!

Jay-Z has made the news repeatedly in October, first by making his debut appearance at London’s Alexandra Palace, then feuding with Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, and most recently by moving into Broadway with Will Smith. Since he’s also at the top of our charts (well, he’s in the number 2 spot, but that’s pretty close) with his song, Empire State of Mind, we thought we’d shine a light on him and ask for your favorite Jay-Z songs and moments.
