Lady Gaga performed a brand new song at Elton John’s annual White Tie and Tiara Ball last night. The song, entitled, “You and I,” is a welcome departure from what we’re used to hearing from the pop star. It’s a “rock and roll tune,” says Gaga, “which means it will most likely never get used as one of my singles.” So true, but too bad nonetheless. I’d much rather hear Gaga show off some of her true musical talents than churn out the type of hyper-produced pop track that she’s now known for.
